Fotowerks Photography is a professional photography company covering the Southeast region doing photography and image production for Modeling, Boudoir, Pinup, Product, Advertising, Portraiture and Stock photography as well as commissioned photo-art. I provide expert digital retouching and finishing for a totally professional look.
ATTENTION ALL MODELS (MALE AND FEMALE) IN AND AROUND THE CENTRAL ALABAMA AREA!
Our new (beautiful and state of the art) studio in Montevallo boasts a wonderful makeup/changing area, reception area, full office and a beautiful 1000sq ft hardwood floor studio. All of this is wrapped in what used to be a law office. The old architecture, exposed brick and hardwood are perfectly balanced between the modern updates and materials we have installed.
As a bonus, we have within walking distance several great shooting locations such as alleys, walls, brick roads, old architecture, an open field, park area and water.
Also, after the shoot and based on your personal taste and preference, there's a hole in the wall bar downstairs with ice cold (and good imported) beer with all the fried goodies you can poison yourself with. Down the block is great coffee house/book shop that can whip up and caffeine/zombie potion you can dream of - and their sweets are to die for!
All in all... we've got it all.
Until the end of the year we are offering 2 hour shoots for $150. This includes a CD sent to you of the fullsize and websized finished shots. The full size images DO NOT HAVE OUR STUDIO IMPRINT so you may actually use them for networking and "go sees". You also have shared copyright on these images and can print them wherever you choose!
We will start taking reservations and deposits immediately. Dates available will begin on November 1st and will run until December 31st. Please call the studio (Monday through Friday 10:00am until 5:00pm Central Time) for booking, questions or more information.

A word about TFP (since this always comes up and is always a heated debate in forums):
I personally think TFP is wonderful - if you are just starting out and trying to build a book. Great for Models, MUAs, Stylists, Photographers, etc. However, there is a limit.
If you are using it to get good and keep on doing it - well, maybe you're just never going to get good.
If you are a GWC and are lying to model wannabees (i.e. preying off their need for acceptance and exposure) just so you can see bare skin (even though you are willing to shoot it for free) then you are a just a jerk. Shooting TFP all the time, trying to see skin and, in general, "model fishing" is not a profession... it's a sick and sad obsession.
With that said, I'm offering MM models the "pay me something**" program. If you are trying to get some work done, don't write me with just a TFP offer.... pay me something. If I can schedule you and you can make the 2 hour appointment, toss me $100. (That's $50 an hour - more than fair.)
Same goes for me. I won't ever hire you for free. I'll pay you $50 an hour (or more - based on your rates or if the job is a better paying one). In short, I feel that your time and effort are just as valuable as mine.
Everyone needs to prove (and feel) their worth and be thankful for each others work. This helps us all know who is just beginning (TFP), who's in the middle and going places (like those I charge the "pay me something" price) and those who are Pro (who's management pays me well and so it's not an issue.). Plus it helps us all spot the pervs and TFP Princesses in the crowd and weed them out really quick.
It's a fair (and fun) system. You get publisher quality work WITHOUT MY STUDIO NAME ON IT (which means you can use it in a real portfolio) and I get a few bucks.
Plus, with your permission, I get some nice images too! (That is if YOU sign a release allowing ME to have them - Models, how good does THAT amount of control feel???!!! 'Bout time you had it too!).
As I say, BE A PRO - HIRE A PRO!!
When you hit the big time - I'll charge you my regular rates. Till then, if you want me, just pay me something.
