I expected to hate the corprate world from the way people made it sound. I expected to regret the decision to make the change. A month into the new life I was happy, but was waiting for the shoe to drop. It didn't. in fact I realized that the coporate world was not as different to what I was doing previously. Meeting with potential clients. Talking about their needs. Finding the path to meet their needs. Etc. Five months passed. Six months. Still happy. I missed Atlanta, but I was still happy. As time went on the challenges (and people) were just as frustrating as those I faced as a photographer. They were also pretty much as rewarding. I was happy in the new life and had no plans on any changes when BAM! The shoe dropped. The company I moved to Florida to work for is going out of business. Just like that life changes. I am certainly not the only one feeling this. I am only one of so many. This economy is BRUTAL, but I won't get into my thoughts about that. I just want to say to everyone out there that tough times come and you struggle through them and deal with it as best ya can. I am taking the opportunity to move back to Atlanta. While I am looking for another job I am excited to return to the city I love and I am excited to pick up the camera again. I feel refreshed and excited and ready to go and create some beautiful new images. It is fun catching up with old friends again and I look forward to my return later this month. To others going through tough times, I just wanna say to hang in there and this will pass (hopefully quickly). Do your best to makethe best out of the tough times. Reconnect with old friends. Spend extra time with family and press on! The "tough life" most of us have at times is usually so much easier than what many people experience. We are blessed!
